About Junction & Bench

Our name and logo tell the story of home. Ogden, Utah was once known as “Junction City” — a major transcontinental railroad hub where economic opportunity met the colorful spirit of the American frontier. The “Bench” nods to the trails of Ogden’s East Bench, right in our backyard.

At the center of it all is Maurice: a rescued Husky–German Shepherd mix and founder Joe Hughes’s hiking companion since puppyhood. Maurice anchors the Junction & Bench logo, a reminder that this brand was built on the trail as much as on Historic 25th Street, where you’ll find our shop just steps from Union Station.

Junction & Bench was founded by Joe Hughes, a retired ski boot fitter with more than 25 years of retail experience across New England, Colorado, British Columbia, Wyoming, and Utah — a lifetime spent in the mountains, shaping a shop built on fashion, function, and mountain culture.

Junction & Bench — premium mountain streetwear where the trail meets the street.
